Semester Final

 Rhino Transported
Wild life rescuers in Africa are lifting a rhino to safety. The rhino was in a flash flood and was injured.

Monk Protest
Noted monk known as Mr. Han is running in flames down the streets of Hong Kong. He was set fire by a crazed officer for being in a non- violent protest.

Bonfire Celebration
Mr. George Henry is riding he's horse in Washington as people celebrate with a Bonfire. George was getting closer when the fire went a little out of control.

Part 3
The photo with the man who seems to be doing a speech is simplicity because the photo is just the beautiful clear blue sky. Nothing that distract people from the man.

The photo as people run is lines. The track its self has leading lines, two sets actually. One going the same direction as the runners, the other where the runners are heading.

President obamas photo is merger.  As president obama is doing a speech and is using his hands the symbolize something. The sun in the background seems like either a bright ball or as if he was making fire in his hands.

The photo with the sign of the Olympic is also merger. As the photo is being taken the moon seem to be apart of the design of the Olympics which makes it look like completely something else.

Self Portrait And Portrait

Capture You

My last tip is to use the images below only loosely as inspiration. A self-portrait should be a very personal expression, not simply a mirror of something you've seen elsewhere. Think about who you want to be and how you want to say that. Use props, scenery, pose and lighting conditions to convey your personality. And most of all, have fun!

Portray emotion:

Want your photos to look boring, then act bored. The facial and body expressions you make are huge in setting the tone of the photo. This is where having a tethered setup can really help (you will be able to see results and nail it down). Aim for over the top, I mean really go crazy. The more emotion you show the better the photo will turn out.

Coming up with ideas:

Time to talk about technique. I think where most people get stuck on self portraits is the coming up with ideas (I know I struggle here). What really got me going was thinking about what I own and how I could use it in a photo. Now I am not just talking about props, but I am talking about features also. One of my prominent features is my bald head. So could I work that to my advantage?

                                                            Environmental Portrait

In both the environmental photos i like the fact that the both ready, both train hard until a tournament or battle. I can relate to these photos which is another reason why i like them.

                                                            Casual Portrait

I like both these casual photos because it people just enjoying each others company.

Formal Portrait

I like these photos that are formal because I'm in Jrotc , so i can relate to the uniform, and also in a way dream that i will be like them one day.

Self Portrait

I really like these self portraits because it people coming up with very creative and amazing photos of them selfs.

                                           Planing Ahead
For the self portrait i have an idea of taking of photo of me in my Kung Fu uniform and doing some sort of kicks, preferably a jumping kick. ill either do it outside, of inside a dojo, I will also maybe even have a friend in training hold a target for me to kick.

Great Black And White Part 3

I can see Robert D thinking about he's art with half a smile. I can hear him talking about his latest art. I can feel he's love for the art he does. I can smell the coffee he drinks. I can taste the bread he eat with his coffee.

I can see the couple in love kissing. I can hear the footsteps of people walking by. I can feel the love the couple have for each other. I can taste the breakfast the restaurant behind is making. I can smell the pancakes being served.

I can see the the child on the bench playing around. I can smell the watery flow of the water behind. I can hear the flow of the water behind. I can taste the chocolates the mother on the right eats has she hopes for love. I can feel the love the couples in the back feel for each other.

If I was to present about Robert D I would make a power point. Starting with the day he was born, and photos of him as a child getting older. Showing things Robert accomplished leading up to he's job as a photographer. I would show some of his first photos and some of his most famous photos then end with his death and what he's left behind for the world to see.

Apeture

 Lion aperture - F2.8
Toy aperture - F16

The aperture should be related to an eye. The larger the aperture the smaller light passes, the smaller the aperture the larger light passes. Aperture impacts depths and field by changing the backgrounds focus.

Academic Shoot reflection

1. A few challenges i encountered while trying to take the photos was one, catching good photos in the moment. Also trying to actually find something to go along with the rules was a big challenge.
2. sense i like to use the manual zoom, i kept thinking of it for some reason.
3. I wouldn't actually do anything differently. i did the best i could do.
4. everything is what id do the same.
5. simplicity is one of the easiest rules to fallow i believe.
6. Hardest rule to fallow is merger. theirs several different merger styles and some are good and some are bad.
 7. I think that the hardest rule to fallow is balance, it confuses me on what is the main point and the different uses.

Simplicity

I believe i fallowed the rule pretty good.
                                                          The subject is simplicity.
The photo isnt that clear for simplicity.
I could have found maybe a better background to suit the photo.

Frame

I believe that i fallowed the rule substantially.
                                                            The subject is frame.
I believe that the photo is pretty clear on what subject it is.

Rule Of Thirds

i believe i fallowed the rules pretty well.
the subject is rule of thirds as you can see that the four people are more to the right.
I  believe it is pretty obvious of the rule i fallowed.

Line

i believe i fallowed the rule pretty well.
                                                               the subject is lines.
It isnt the best example of the rule im using.
i could have maybe asked for them to be more alined and at attention.

Merger

I think i fallowed the rule pretty well.
the subject is merger because of the pole coming out of the head.
i think its pretty clear what the rule is.

Blanance

I believe that i followed the rule pretty good.
The subject is balance. The way the two weight are, they look, and are balanced.
I believe it is obvious what the picture represents.
Maybe i could have taken the photo in the middle more to make the whole photo balanced.

Academics Photo Shoot Preview

This tells the best story, people helping others in need.

This shows the most emotion, looks like there praying but at least for sure doing something that is important to them.
This is the most interesting to me. Looks like there welding something. Just the light of the background and the light of the fire likes interesting.

This one is my favorite, the reason why is because the way the vibrations moves the paint is cool. This includes simplicity because it focuses on the paint.

Anywhere is possible with a creative mind. I think the best place to shoot the pics is at or with JROTC. Think outside the box, and try to see and capture what most people don't see in the moment.

Black And White Photographers Part 2

Robert Doisneau was born in Gentilly, Val-De-Marne, Paris on 14 April 1912. He died on  1 April 1994 at the age of 81. Hes education was Ecole Estienne 1929 graduate, diplomas in engraving and lithography. He has always been a photographer, no other jobs. Le baiser de l'hôtel de ville (Kiss by the Town Hall), a photograph of a couple kissing in the busy streets of paris is one of his most famous photos published.

40 Greatest Photos

I picked this photo because this child who grew up deaf finally hears for the first time which is amazing to finally have. This photo at first caught my attention because it is only a photo of his face, which made me wonder what was so special about his expression. This photo made the top 40 because its a great moment in this persons life. which can effect others peoples life's .
I picked this photo because it shows a father and son connection, with the father in the military. while the father is leaving the son runs to him telling him to wait. This photo caught my attention because someone who was probably just taking a picture of the men marching saw the young boy and took a picture that will now be remembered for all time. This photo made the top 40 because many people can understand the feelings of a child with a parent in the military but not many can understand the feeling of having to see them march off.
I picked this photo because this show true loyalty between a dog and he's/ her owner. This photo caught my attention because i was wondering why the dog was next to what it seems to be a grave. This photo made top 40 because many people have animals which they have a big connection with.

Elements Of Art, And Principles Of Design

Lines - Are marks made by a pointed tool: brush, pencil, pen, etc. Lines can vary in width, direction, curvature, length, or color.

Shape-are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.

Color-Color wheels show the primary colors, secondary colors, and the tertiary (intermediate) colors. They also show the relationships between complementary colors across from each other, such as blue and orange; and analogous (similar or related) colors next to each other such as yellow, green, and blue. Black and white may be thought of as colors but, in fact, they are not. White light is the presence of all color; black is the absence of reflected light and therefore the absence of color.

Value -Value, or tone, refers to dark and light; the value scale refers to black and white with all gradations of gray in between. Value contrasts help us to see and understand a two-dimensional work of art.

Form -describes objects that are three-dimensional, having length, width, and height.

Texture -can be rough, bumpy, slick, scratchy, smooth, silky, soft, prickly--the list is endless. Texture refers to the surface quality, both simulated and actual, of artwork.

Space -Space refers to distances or areas around, between, or within components of a piece. Space can be positive (white or light) or negative (black or dark), open or closed, shallow or deep, and two-dimensional or three-dimensional.

                                             Principles Of Design

Balance -comfortable or pleasing arrangement of things in art. There are three different types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial. The human figure is symmetrically balanced; the same on the left and right side. The tree is asymmetrically balanced; its branches are not distributed equally on each side, but their total weight is balanced left and right. The sun is an example of radial balance; all its rays are equal in length from the center.

Contrast - is created by using elements that conflict with one another. Often, contrast is created using complementary colors or extremely light and dark values. Contrast creates interest in a piece and often draws the eye to certain areas. It is used to make a painting look interesting.

Emphasis - in the focal area of an artwork gives it importance. An artist may stress some elements of the design over others. The eye of the viewer will focus on the area of emphasis or center of interest first, then take in the rest of the composition.

Movement -in an artwork means the artist is taking viewers on a trip through the work by means of lines, edges, shapes, and colors often leading to the focal area.  Movement is a visual flow through the composition. It can be the suggestion of motion in a design as you move from object to object by way of placement and position.  Directional movement can be created with a value pattern. It is with the placement of dark and light areas that you can move your attention through the format.

Pattern - are made in art when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again. Pattern uses the elements of art in planned or random repetitions to enhance surfaces of paintings or sculptures.

Rhythm - the repetition of shapes, lines, and forms. Rhythm is a movement in which some elements recurs regularly. Like a dance, it will have a flow of objects that will seem to be like the beat of music.

Unity - means that all elements in an artwork are in harmony. Unity brings together a composition with similar units. For example, if your composition was using wavy lines and organic shapes you would stay with those types of lines and not put in even one geometric shape.
